HONEYCOMB SHADES

Our honeycomb cellular shades are available  in a variety of pleat sizes and in either single of double cell structure.  They offer great light control, privacy and heat insulation and are available in a wide variety of colors and fabrics. Honeycomb shades are available with various options including the popular top down bottom up which enables you to drop the shade from the top as well as raising it from the bottom which gives total flexibility of light control.   Cordless, continuous cord loop and motorized options are available at a surcharge.   

Honeycomb shades come in either light filtering,  room dimming or blackout options  (best for bedrooms) and in a complete palette of colors, both neutrals and more vibrant  to match your décor.  They are light to lift and are becoming increasingly popular as they fit both contemporary and traditional settings..  Specialty shaped  honeycomb shades which are ideal for covering perfect arches and quarter arches are also available. These come in either stationary or moveable options. Though honeycomb shades are among the lightest of window coverings to lift, very wide shades can be unwieldy and difficult to level.  For this reason we offer the option of multiple shades on one head rail. for very wide windows.

As well as very good heat insulating and UV blockage properties, cellular shades also offer a high degree of sound absorption so are ideal for homes near a busy road or airport.  Honeycomb shades work very well on French doors where they can be provided with hold downs at the bottom to keep the shade from flapping when the door is opened. 

Though most honeycomb shades are horizontal, there is a vertical option marketed under the name of Vertiglide, which is an alternative solution to the usual vertical blind on a sliding door. Optiuns for vertical cellular shades include center stack, center opening and dual panel which is priced as two separate shades.
