The Benefits of Window Tinting

Increased Energy Efficiency

During the summer months, ordinary glass lets the sun’s heat penetrate your home, forcing your air conditioner to work harder to keep you cool. During the winter months, a substantial amount of your home’s heat is lost through ordinary glass windows. Solar control window tint applied to the interior of your windows can reject up to 80% of the sun’s heat. In summer your home is cooler and more comfortable, so you can save on energy bills. In winter, some window films trap room heat for year –round comfort.

Protection From Fading

Window tints can block up to 99% of the Ultraviolet Rays from the sun, greatly reducing the effect of fading on your carpets, rugs, fabrics, and artwork. Window tints also reduce the amount of glare seen through your windows, giving your home a more pleasant view. Your investment in properly installed window tint will return dividends in the form of reduced air conditioning and heating costs, and protection against costly fading.

Increased Property Value

Window tints can give a building a more upscale, contemporary appearance. They also provide a uniform look without the clutter of drapes and blinds. Window tinting makes a building more attractive to potential tenants and allows for more usable space in the building. Window tints are available with a scratch resistant coating and in a variety of elegant tints like bronze and gray, and in neutral tones that appear virtually invisible on your windows.

Protection from Injury

Like an invisible shield, security films offer protection from broken glass when accidents occur at home and at work. When ordinary glass breaks, it poses considerable danger. The shattered pieces become daggers that can cause serious injury or even death. Engineered with powerful adhesives, security films reduce the hazard of broken glass by keeping the pieces together and safely attached to the film.

Protection from Violent Weather

Glass is always one of the first casualties during a hurricane, tornado or earthquake. During violent weather when glass breaks, wind, rain and flying debris are given full access to your home or office, causing property damage and destruction. Security films are able to withstand extraordinary wind and force, security film helps prevent entry of water and wind-borne debris, providing superior protection 24-hours a day. Disasters can strike with little or no warning; security films are always ready.

Anti-Graffiti Film

Anti-Graffiti film is a clear multi-layered film applied to the exterior of store fronts. It looks and feels like glass. Once a vandal “tags” the glass, the film is easily removed and replaced at a much lower cost than replacing the glass.

Protection from Crime

Windows and doors are the most vulnerable parts of your home or place of business. They are points of entry for criminals and smash-and-grab thieves. Glass is an inviting target for vandals intent on mischief or worse. Alarms and security systems are helpful, but provide little protection from experienced or determined intruders. With security films, intruders cannot readily penetrate the glass, even by striking it with a heavy objects. Usually they become discouraged and quickly depart for an easier target.

Window Tint Maintenance & Care Tips

Drying Time:
Your new window film will take about 3 to 5 days to fully dry; sometimes a lot longer depending on the film brand, type, and weather conditions. Until this time your tinted windows may appear hazy or lumpy, and it may seem to have water bubbles. Do not roll your tinted windows down until dry!

Cleaning:
Window film may be cleaned with a soft clean cloth and alcohol based cleaner or plain water. Ammonia products should not be used. Read More …
