British Tourists in Orlando React to London Terror Attack

ORLANDO, Fla. – British tourists who are visiting Orlando, Florida reacted to the London terror attack that happened on Wednesday saying that they are shocked, but not quite surprised.

Along International Drive in Orlando, some tourists from England commented on the terror attack that happened in London. They said that they are in disbelief, shock, and most of all, in fear after what happened. Oliver Chan said that they are quite a few terror attacks that happened recently but he has never expected that it will happen in London.

Some of them haven’t heard of the news while others are following every news alert on the issue. Kathleen Fullerton Fraser said that the London terror attack was really a shock and not at all very nice for all of the people who suffered from it.

The London Police is referring to the attack as a “terrorist incident” where there were reportedly 4 people dead while other 20 people were wounded. Some of the people affected by the incident were tourists visiting London.

The authorities recounted what happened and said that there was a vehicle that mowed down the pedestrians on the Westminster Bridge in London.

Keith Fraser said that it could have been any of them who were out and about. He also added that the victims seem like people who are out enjoying themselves and going about their days but they have been unnecessarily attacked.

He also commented that it was horrible and he feels for the families of the victims as well as for the officers who have also become victims of the terror attack.

An attacker also stabbed one of the police officers, the authorities in London said. In addition, the officer was then shot just outside the Parliament. This incident is the latest in a series of terror attacks that happened in Europe during the past year.

Mark Marston, referring to the London terror attack, said that he was shocked but not at all surprised. He also said that that kind of incident can happen anywhere in the world in today’s time.

A lot of tourists said that they won’t let the terror attack stop them from living their lives, even after what happened. Keith Fraser said that people should be vigilant and careful but they don’t have to live their lives differently or those people will win.

Most of the tourists are going back home this week where they expect to see a heightened presence of security. To honor the London terror attack victims, the Orlando Eye will be lit up Wednesday in the colors of the Union Jack flag.
